Are you a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurse? Do you have the skills to work with Looked After Children and Care Leavers and improve their health outcomes? Are you keen to contribute towards the development of the Looked After Children and Care Leavers service?
An exciting opportunity has arisen within CHCP CIC, to join our team of LAC nurses working with children and young people who are Looked After and leaving care. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced registered nurse who can demonstrate a high standard of assessment skills, excellent communication, and a flexible approach to working with children and young people to join our motivated and friendly team.
This requires a flexible approach and a willingness to travel out of the Hull area to bordering county of East Yorkshire at the direction of the Named Nurse for Looked After Children.
You will have the opportunity to be creative and adaptable in order to engage with looked after children, their carers and partner agencies to ensure that health needs are assessed and met for this cohort of children. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience with working with children of all ages, vulnerable groups and those with additional health needs.
The LAC Health team are part of the Community Paediatric Nursing Services working across Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The LAC health team arrange, co-ordinate and undertake Statutory Health Assessments in accordance with Department of Health Statutory Guidance. The role will be supported by the Named Nurse for Looked After Children, with excellent opportunities for supervision, training and development.
