Job description

We currently have vacancies for NVQ level 3 or equivalent Early Years Practitioners.

We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of day care and nursery education from 6 weeks to 5 years. We recognise what an important role we play in each child’s development. Most of all, we want our children to be happy, confident and secure.

A Qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner is required, to:

• Provide Children with a safe, secure and stimulating environment
• Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities in line with the EYFS framework to meet the needs of the children within their age group
• Ensure observations/ evaluations are regularly completed and records are kept up to date
• Operate a keyworker system and liaise with parents/carers about their child’s development and encourage them to participate in their child’s learning and development
• Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team

Ideally you will need to:

• Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at Level 3 or above (such as NVQ Level 3 in CCLD, Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce), or equivalent qualification
• Have gained experience within a nursery setting
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
• Good knowledge and understanding of OFSTED policies and regulations
• Good knowledge of Child Protection, Safeguarding and Health & Safety policies and procedures
• Ability to work well within a team as well as using own initiative
• Have good communication skills

In addition you will need to be enthusiastic, reliable, flexible and creative, with the commitment to provide the highest standards of childcare.
