Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse looking for a new leadership opportunity?
The Bluebell Unit Place of Safety at Green Lane Hospital in Devizes, Wiltshire is looking for a Charge Nurse to join its motivated and dynamic team. We have gone through a remarkable journey the past 2 years since being established and we are continuing to strive for more success. The centralised health-based Place of Safety is a purpose built unit, specifically designed to facilitate all Section 136/ 135 admissions for the East of the Trust (Wiltshire and Swindon).
You will be joining a dedicated multi-disciplinary team specialising in the assessment and management of persons experiencing mental health crisis. This will be an opportunity to contribute to the development of a Gold Standard National Model for the provision of crisis care. The role will be challenging, stimulating and diverse.
The Centralised Place of Safety also includes a dedicated CAMHS suite for the new Wiltshire wide NHS England Place of Safety specification and pathway. As such we have been involved in the formulation of and have been able to build the service around this transformational guidance.
For all new members of the team you will benefit from a comprehensive training package designed to support the development of highly specialised and skilled Place of Safety practitioners.
It’s important that you have an understanding of multidisciplinary services and the challenges that face people with mental health problems. We want to employ staff that are passionate about mental health, and who can contribute to the development of Bluebell as a national centre of excellence.
You must have an excellent understanding of safeguarding and how to work within professional boundaries.

To provide clear clinical leadership to Staff Nurses and Health Care Assistants working on the Bluebell Unit Place of Safety.
An integral part of the role is to undertake appraisals, clinical
supervision and teaching. Responsible for specific “management duties” within the ward, which are commensurate with their grade.
