Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following fields: real estate acquisition, development or investment in data centers, industrial/logistics, high-technology/labs, consulting, and site selection.
- Experience in Consulting, Program Management and Stakeholder Engagement.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in managing large-scale, dynamic technical projects with fast-paced timelines, competing resources, and priorities.
- Understanding of technical competency, and comfortability with physical infrastructure.
- Ability to communicate with diverse-stakeholders, and articulate directional plans for long term growth to help the teams understand context and resource prioritization.
- Excellent communication skills.

As Google's products and services grow to serve our billions of users, the Strategic Negotiation team works behind the scenes to secure infrastructure for Google's future. It's a big job that involves everything from operating underwater cables to finding data center space. In this role you combine your deep market knowledge with tech industry savvy to find solutions that support Google's growth. You'll work with specific teams to oversee vendor and partner relationships. Your successful management skills have the potential to impact every part of the business and save Google millions of dollars in operating costs. You'll ensure that we receive contract compliance on our third-party agreements, while identifying the most cost-effective solutions for our needs. You'll take lead on special projects, manage vendors and present your recommendations to Google leadership.
As a Regional Site Architecture and Strategy Manager you'll have daily interaction with regional leads and strategic negotiators who are active in the markets to explain the trajectory of metro infrastructure growth within their region and for acquisition projects translate between central planning teams and regional acquisition negotiators. You will provide market context to our Data Center Supply Planning teams and ensure the regional negotiators have all the latest drivers and expectations of cloud incorporated into the their regional plans.

Responsibilities
- Bring together knowledge on architecture, engagement with internal stakeholders on agreement options and competitive landscape, and close collaboration with supply-demand interactions.
- Develop market growth plans for both new and existing regions and keep them updated on a regular basis.
- Act as a bridge across the Data Center Energy and Location Strategy, Cloud and Supply Planning teams ensuring that business drivers are represented and market knowledge is represented.
- Work closely with negotiators to understand supply in each Cloud metro and options available in the marke leverage the subject-matter expertise from the leads and negotiators, layering in expertise on Cloud architecture and data centers.
- Develop internal recommendations based on agreements/market intel provided by negotiators and work with supply planning to incorporate with the plan.
