Job description
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in a security operations center, emergency service control room, or similar command center/call center environment.
- Ability to work non-standard working hours as required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience supporting decision-makers with intelligence about emerging threats, potential issues of concern, or imminent crisis.
- Knowledge of pronunciation rules and natural language processing.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and people management skills.

The Regional Security Specialists are a part of the security and business resilience team that manages disruptive events through anticipate, deter, detect, and act which is the key pillars of Google Global Security and Resilience Services.
From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Manage field phone calls, emails and chat requests using strong customer service skills while taking actions that support efficient security operations.
- Monitor enterprise alarm monitoring systems, triage service outages, use CCTV for security investigations and assist with access control functions.
- Dispatch field security units using radio systems, communicate with incident management teams, and escalate security matters to various business partners.
- Initiate repair tickets, create detailed incident reports, and pass down situational debriefs to security operations center teams across geographies.
- Facilitate badges/clearance levels necessary to enter workspaces and support projects and programs within the security operations center environment.
