Position:
We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Regional Sales Manager to lead of our Impact Protection team. The role of the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) involves creating positive customer relationships through the successful delivery of Rack Armour/Barrier projects and services, whilst developing new products in line with the company’s next phase of growth
The RSM is responsible for seeking out new opportunities to promote our protection range whilst maintaining current customer relationships, and, where possible, promote the group product range.
This role will involve working alongside members of the operations team to ensure that projects are delivered in a timely manner.. Capabilities in problem solving, effective communication, leadership, and negotiation are key to for this role.
A key part of this role will be to develop new products within the protection range and work alongside the Group team to create new business within in the EU and ROW.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve agreed sales and GM budgets.
- Co-ordinate, manage and growth the distribution network in the UK, EU and ROW.
- Complete on-site customer visits to build on working relationships and gain information for the processing of quotations/estimations.
- Identify and win new customers.
- Prepare quotations/estimations for customers making recommendations based on company product knowledge, systems of work and installation techniques.
- Support Project Managers to identify opportunities to optimise project revenue
- Develop schedules aligned to the company’s live and/or committed projects, ensuring we maintain and/or exceed customer expectations.
- Coordinate internal and external resources in line with project schedules, whilst communicating with operational leads to review challenges/customer demand and prioritise accordingly.
- Manage the on/off hire, to include scheduling of tooling/equipment, enabling projects to be delivered on time and in budget.
- Monitor and analyse data to produce regular updates and report on progress and perceived risks so that solutions can be agreed.
- Maintain regular contact with customers throughout a project through specified electronic sources.
- Manage the impact and costs of scope changes and variations.
- Lead and support impact protection sales team, setting targets/KPI's whilst reporting on overall team progress.
- Coordinate with Finance team to ensure that projects are invoiced efficiently and to ensure that plans are realistic, achievable and within budget.
- Create and maintain auditable trails of detailed project documentation and measurable data.
- Schedule weekly project review meetings to review SLA’s and KPI’s.
- Maintain commercial awareness of our key markets, competitor products, pricing and service offerings, and review regularly with key stakeholders with a view to ensuring our offer/range meets our clients demands.
- Represent IWS group companies within the marketplace where required by management.
Requirements:
- Good standard of general education backed by a track record of continuing professional development.
- Sales qualification.

- Exemplary communication and customer engagement skills.
- Collaborate effectively with others to ensure business improvements and efficiencies.
- Knowledge of H&S regulations relevant to the industrial storage equipment industry.
- Knowledge and understanding of products, systems of work, installation techniques and construction basics within the industry.
- Capable of working to challenging deadlines and managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Initiative-taking, hands-on, can-do attitude.
- Able to work independently and autonomously when required.
- Diligence, tenacious, persistent, and balanced.
- Able to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
