By taking up a role as a Regional Operations Manager, you will play an essential part in coordinating our delivery of reactive and planned service across the depot network in the South West region meeting the needs of our customers.

Position: Regional Operations Manager

Location: South West Region

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £60k circa depending on experience

Bonus: Circa £10k on Commercial and Operational Targets being achieved

This dynamic operational management role comes with a significant amount of responsibility. Heading up delivery across a multi-depot network, you will be expected to ensure profitable delivery of sales lines across a fast-moving reactive and planned environment. You will be working with regional and national clients across all commercial and industrial sectors and delivering service that meets a variety of SLAs and KPIs.

You will ensure the consistency and quality of delivery that maintains Lanes Group’s reputation as the go to drainage and wastewater specialist and, in doing so, generating high levels of repeat business.

The Job:

Based in the South West, the Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for 4 depot locations, each with a depot manager, a combined workforce of circa 100 delivering a turnover of £12M P/A.

Role Responsibilities:

Delivery of budget for the South West depots for a high volume 24/7 reactive and planned drainage maintenance service across a multi-sector client base.

To ensure the smooth, effective, and proactive delivery of service across the depot network, maintaining consistency and quality in all service streams within the core business sector.

To lead by example and instil the core values of the business.

Ensuring that ‘what matters to the customer’ is at the heart of everything your depots and your teams do.

Managing the cost-effective delivery of service while achieving the high quality of service Lanes customers have come to expect.

Ensuring that client SLAs and KPIs aligned with their company philosophies are exceeded.

Be a ‘go to’ person on a day-to-day basis about all operational issues in your region and a role model for peers both inside and outside Lanes.

Motivate and develop each team to be accountable for a right first-time approach and to deliver exceptional customer service.

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic and committed individual with an ability to self-manage. You will be able to quickly integrate yourself, and work to a very high standard, within an established team. Your exceptional operational and commercial skills will be key to your success in this role. You will have worked in a reactive service industry and will have wastewater management experience. You will also have excellent leadership, coaching and motivational skills to inspire individuals and teams to deliver a profitable outturn.
