Here at GXO, we’re looking for a Regional HR Advisor to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, to be based in Avonmouth. You will provide a stand-alone first level advisory service to the site teams. Supporting the delivery of the People Agenda to align culture, talent, structure, and processes and support the payroll activity ensuring accuracy, education, and a robust resolution structure.
With Avonmouth being the main base, you will also provide ongoing support for a number of our secondary sites including Norwich, Lee Mill, Swansea, and Isle of Wight. Adhoc travel with be required between the sites in order to build client relationships and deliver the key objectives.
This is a Permanent full time role working Monday to Friday however flexibility is required – this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £37,000 per annum plus a company car. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
Manage time effectively to ensure the right time and focus is in the right area – this will include travel to all stakeholders on a regular basisProvide generalist support, coaching and guidance to the site teams in all areas of the employee lifecycle
Collate and report on people data as required
Lead the site “people plans” activities in partnership with other stakeholders, looking at synergies and best practice
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Practiced in dealing with trade unions and associated collective agreementsKnowledge of HR policy, practice, employee relations and change management approaches (evidence with Occupational Health Referrals, long term sickness, absents case management)
Demonstrate a passionate & ‘pacey’ style and approach – getting things done
Experience in the Logistics/Operations sector
The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
