The MRV Solutions team within Agreena is focused on delivering high quality Measurement, Reporting & Verification (MRV) of regenerative agriculture through the use of satellite imagery and machine learning models. The team works with a number of customer types, including food & bev supply chains, agricultural lenders and land owners, nature-based solutions markets, and subsidy programs. The MRV solution enables the implementation of regenerative farming by providing scalable, cost-efficient solutions. Please see more information at agreena.com/technology.
Job summary
You will report to the Head of MRV Solutions and support strategic and commercial aspects of Hummingbird’s MRV work. Your role will be to support the scaling of the company’s commercial footprint, pipeline and expand its MRV solutions around the world. This job is an incredible opportunity for someone who would like to develop skills in business analysis and market research, with the added bonus of working for a company focused on sustainable agriculture and making a positive impact on our planet.
Core duties and responsibilities
- Ongoing research to stay abreast of market knowledge, including agrifood supply chains, natural capital markets, governmental agrifood subsidies, or other relevant industries. This will provide valuable insights for identifying potential sales targets and analysing the competitive landscape;
- Strategy and business development, using acquired knowledge of the market to provide valuable insights;
- Marketing/PR opportunities, including research into relevant events and ways to increase the visibility of Hummingbird to potential clients;
- Proposal writing and support with client contracts and other administrative tasks
Requirements
- A strong work ethic, resourcefulness, punctuality and self-motivation – most importantly, the ability to take initiative;
- You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, so strong organisational skills and the ability to handle a range of different tasks will be essential;
- Experience/knowledge of sustainable agriculture and/or data science is preferred. The MRV offering is highly technical, and dedication to a steep learning curve is required for success;
- A bachelor’s degree or higher (or currently pursuing)
