The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Referral Medicine Clinician to join our team here at Rowe Referrals in Bristol.
You will be responsible for independently managing medicine cases to a referral standard, and for communicating with clients and referring vets. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, working in collaboration with other disciplines, e.g. soft tissue surgery will be required.
It is expected you would have a 4 day working week, however this is flexible. Out of hours cover can be negotiated, availability for telephone advice will be required.
About Us
Rowe Referrals is a multidisciplinary referrals practice based in the North Bristol area, offering soft tissue, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, neuro-diagnostics, dentistry and internal medicine. We pride ourselves on offering excellent client care and having a friendly working atmosphere.
We are a hospital practice with vets on site 24/7 and have MRI and CT, a range of scopes, ultrasonography, onsite lab etc and a great team of experienced nurses and support staff.
As well as all that Bristol has to offer, we have great motorway access minutes away from the M4 and M5 making the Midlands, the Cotswolds, South Wales and the South West all within easy reach.
About the Team and Culture
We are a team of experienced advanced practitioners providing high level referrals for the South West, South Wales and beyond. We are primarily based in a large hospital practice with a separate busy first opinion team.
You would be expected to take responsibility for your cases and help build the internal medicine service offered by the practice. We have a team of 13+ nurses to support our clinicians, we have specialist imaging support and you would also have the support of a diploma holder in internal medicine for advice.
Applicant Requirements
We would expect applicants to be advanced practitioners in small animal medicine or above and have experience and confidence in managing referral level cases, including writing referral reports.
Experience in imaging (use of CT and ultrasonography) would be advantageous. Good communication skills and a willingness to work in a team are essential.
