At Facebook, we’re developing the future of AR/VR displays. As a Gallium Arsenide Process Integration Engineer, your job will focus on implementation of a manufacturing process for future LED components, taking it from research to production. You will work closely with internal research teams and external partners and vendors. You will help define requirements and deliverables, schedule and track project progress. To be successful, you will eliminate barriers to your team’s success, clearly communicate their work to all stakeholders. Extensive travel and possible long term assignment to partner locations is a key part of this role.

Red (GaAs) Process Integration Engineer Responsibilities:
- Implementing Facebook’s Red microLED development processes from partner facilities into our ramp-up line
- Working with internal and external partners to specify, install and ramp materials, processes and production systems
- Improving the maturity of our development process while continuously improving our overall Yield
- Taking ownership of part of developments within the red LED work
- Working with the research team to design and implement experimental work flows and products
- Owning short loops and executing DoE for future tech injections
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Nano materials or related subject
- 3+ years background in red (GaAs) Front End of Line optoelectronic device processing
- 3+ years experience with test and reliability methods for optoelectronic devices
- Hands on experience on split analysis by use of a variety of metrology methods
- Experience in design of experiments (DOE), problem solving methods like 8D, process metrology, failure analysis and yield improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in micro-LED processing
- Broad understanding and hands on experience for semiconductor metrology
- Hands on experience improving metrology steps
- GaAs EPI knowledge
- In depth knowledge of one-two unit process modules e.g. PVD, CMP, ECD, Litho, …
- Experience in site to site technology transfer in the semiconductor industry
- Ability to balance multiple tasks in a priority based timeline
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
