Viridor Polymer Recycling produces high quality recycled plastics in pellet and flake every year, which are produced to tight specifications. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and we work closely with manufacturers, brand owners and retailers to develop materials that are fit for recycling.
We have an opportunity in Rochester for 8 permanent Recycling Operatives Level 3 to join our team, working 51.3 hours average per week, 3 days ON, 3 nights ON and 3 days OFF shift rota.
The salary for this role will be £43,471.00 per year, including shift allowance and participation in a yearly bonus scheme, in addition to our great range of benefits.
Our Operatives:
- Work in the Extrusion Department
- Run multiple machines producing plastic pellets.
- Carry out cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
- Perform basic fault finding
- Must have experience running any type of machinery before.
Our Operatives will have:
- Experience in operating Mobile Plant.
- Be able to undertake structured work with consistent attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a recycling/production environment
- Previous experience of operating an Extruder would be an advantage – but not essential
- Good understanding of Health & Safety.
