The Department
This role sits within the HR team which comprises 18 people specialists based in our London and Cardiff offices, working closely together to provide excellent employment conditions for the firm’s people, covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
Main Purpose of the Role:
As part of the Internal Recruitment team this role will effectively and efficiently lead on recruitment campaigns across the firm including legal and business services recruitment across all LS offices. The post holder will also have the opportunity to support the HR team on other firm-wide HR projects and initiatives.
- Responsibility for the full life cycle of recruitment for fee earning and business services staff, across all offices, ensuring thorough role briefings are complete with hiring managers and that key requirements are fully understood;
- Understand business areas and partner with hiring managers across the business, building strong relationships to understand recruitment needs within the team;
- Be a key driver in moving recruitment forward, proactively overcoming challenges;
- Active focus and interest in direct recruitment through LinkedIn and other methods, managing agency relationships and terms of business;
- Ensuring a positive recruitment experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders;
- Management of applicant tracking system “Allhires”;
- Ensuring that the firm’s diversity equity and inclusion agenda is reflected in recruitment practice;
- Assist in the implementation of a new work experience programme.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate must have a professional manner and first-class communication skills. They must be highly organised and able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to their work with the ability to work on their own initiative. They must enjoy working in a busy team environment and will need to have a flexible and co-operative nature; as well as excellent stakeholder management skills and willing attitude.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience and understanding of recruitment processes; including working with a variety of stakeholders;
- At least two years’ experience of working at HR/Recruitment Officer level within an HR team in a professional services environment, ideally legal; or applicable agency background working within a professional services setting or remit;
- Experience of using employee database software and online recruitment management tools;
- Understanding and sensitivity to diversity, equity and inclusion issues within recruitment processes.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build successful relationships at all levels;
- Team player with a flexible and willing attitude;
- Flexibility to work additional hours from time to time where resource requirements dictate.
