Shift Pattern / Shift Times – Dayshift, Monday – Friday, 08.30-17.00

Our Bakkavor business in Bo’ness, based near Falkirk, specialises in the production of fresh, high quality salad products working primarily with premium retailers. To give you a sense for the scale of manufacturing in Bo’ness we produce over 70million salad based meals and side dishes from our 2 manufacturing facilities employing over 1200 people in the town.
The Role
Working with key Stakeholders across Supply Chain, Operations, Talent Acquisition and HR, coordinate the recruitment and onboarding of new starters into the two Bo’ness factories. Ensuring that the recruitment plan is delivered and sufficient skills and resource is met.
Ensure a positive and effective partnership with 3rd party Agency provider is in place and the plan to develop both the model and the levels of available Agency resource is met.
Duties include:
- Coordinate information from the site manpower plan to ensure recruiting managers and the TA team are aware of the required recruitment numbers, shifts and departments to enable offers to be made at the end of each event.
- Coordinate outcomes of interview activity carried out by line managers and communicate results to the TA team
- Step in to conduct interviews if short term gaps in line manager resource is identified
- Ongoing liaison with TA team to ensure regular, relevant recruitment tracker is maintained and shared with the site leadership team; escalating issues and recommending short term actions to address
- Coordinate the onboarding plans for new starters, liaising with the relevant factory leads, New Starter Champions and contacts across site to ensure new starters are given the best possible experience when joining
- Take part in induction activity as necessary and coordinate department familiarisation for new starters
- Working with site leads & Group Procurement, set up the new site Agency labour model in line with agreed contractual & delivery standards
- Develop and agree measures for agency performance and key compliance metrics via Planning & Factory Managers, to ensure a robust reporting and review process is in place
- Carry out routine as well as ad-hoc reporting and administration relating to both permanent and Agency new starters
- Liaise with agency partner and internal contacts on a daily basis to confirm headcount requirements in order to meet the forecast production plan.

- Numeracy to understand costs/numbers and numerical indicators of performance.
- Understands and able to set up key performance measures to track performance daily/weekly/monthly.
- Presenting with passion – able to present reports, plans and updates to multiple level Stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate level PC skills, especially in spreadsheets, to support communication, analysis, and reporting.
- Able to build strong relationships and work with multiple Stakeholders
- Be flexible in working pattern in order to meet the face-to-face communication requirements with other shifts as required to meet the needs of your role.
