This is a new role in our Property Services team to deliver reception and front of house customer experience in our building in Threadneedle Street, London.
As Receptionist you’ll be working alongside our Property Services team, to create a warm welcome and great experience to all our colleagues and their visitors and carrying out the key roles and responsibilities we’ve included below.
This role is part of Business Services, in the Resilience & Agility Community, which is responsible for our Nationwide properties, employee facing services that support the day to day running of our operations, our workplace strategy and delivery service and regulatory communications to our members.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll be responsible for maintaining a professional, visible presence in the building, welcoming colleagues and visitors and issuing visitor or access badges using the right security processes and security systems.
You’ll be the first point of contact for colleagues and visitors to provide building knowledge and guidance for those that need it and making sure that visitors are connected with their host on arrival.
You’ll be managing our access points and working alongside our other Property Services team colleagues to effectively manage entry and security in the building and make sure that all colleagues adhere to our health, safety, and security guidelines, reporting any issues through relevant channels.
This is a front of house role where excellent service; colleague experience and customer satisfaction are key goals.
About you
- Recent front of house experience in a Receptionist role
- Attentive and friendly nature, customer focused with an ability to relate at all levels when communicating with employees and visitors
- Punctual, reliable and trustworthy
- An understanding of the security requirements and processes within sites
- Previous experience and knowledge with Microsoft packages e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to a variety of possible queries.
