We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and committed individual to join the sexual health reception team at Swindon Health Centre. The role is for a band 2, 13 hours per week (Thursday pm/eve, Friday am and Saturday am).
Good written and oral communication skills are essential as well as good time management and organisational skills to prioritise your workload, along with an understanding of, and commitment to, patient confidentiality.
You will be working in a busy reception, processing patient paperwork as they arrive for their appointment, using our electronic patient record system and clinic diary. Booking appointments, both face to face and on the telephone and dealing with any queries.
1. Provide a welcoming front of house service; receiving patients (and other visitors), dealing with enquiries responsibly, politely and effectively.
1. Answer incoming calls promptly and deal with enquiries and appointment requests effectively.
1. Arrange appointments in person and via telephone, offering a choice of dates and times.
1. Ensure bookings are made within departmental guidelines and meet local and national targets.
1. Capture, update and accurately input patient related information on the Sexual Health electronic patient record (EPR) system.
1. Deal appropriately with unplanned patient activity by arranging an appointment or referring for triage.
1. Provide flexible support and cover across locations as indicated by service need.

8. Be responsible for accurately filing away patient related information.
9. Able to manage and prioritise workload.
10. Scanning documents and reports for uploading against EPR.
11. Be prepared to engage in personal development and contribute towards service delivery by way of performance reviews, appraisal and supervision processes, and attending team and governance meetings and Trust updates and briefings.
12. Undertake other duties such as maintaining a welcoming reception area, photocopying, stock level maintenance, electronic and hardcopy record culling, destruction of confidential waste, voicemail retrieval.
