Receptionist / Patient Healthcare Navigator
Location - Porters Avenue Health Centre, 234 Porters Avenue, RM8 2EQ
Hours - 24.8 per week, part time permanent contract
Salary - £13,640 per annum pro rata (FTE is £22,000 pa based on 40 hrs per week)
Working Hours
The practice opens 8am-8pm weekdays and Saturday 9-1.
Staff work in shifts, the shift patterns are 7.45am - 4.15pm and 11.30am - 8pm
The rota will be Monday to Friday
Once per month you will work an additional Saturday shift from 9am - 1pm
We are seeking an enthusiastic Receptionist to join our established team and be a part of a company that really makes a difference.
You will be based in our GP surgery and you will be responsible for providing a high-quality and efficient administration service, with the responsibility for inbound and outbound patient calls. This is an important position within our business as you will be the first point of contact for all our patients, you will be expected to provide a friendly and supportive environment for patients and visitors at all times.
You will also be relied upon to provide an essential support function to the clinical and management teams, so that they can deliver the best care and provide the full range of NHS Primary Medical Services. You must work with autonomy and a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion, empathy and tact.

Experience of clerical and administrative work
Clear thinking and have an analytical approach
Able to work as part of a team, to promote a good team spirit
Able to be sensitive and assertive as appropriate
Experience in a client facing/customer service position
Be motivated and able to work independently
