Curio Collection by Hilton is a global set of remarkable upper upscale hotels handpicked for their unique character and personality; each one a part of the fabric of the city it calls home. Lost Property is the seventh Curio Collection hotel opened in London.
Located on Ludgate Hill, just on the corner of St Paul’s cathedral, one of the most iconic London landmarks, Lost Property hotel has 145 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar called Found, a coffee house called Tattle, and a gym.

About the role
The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, whether it be day or night, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. You'll not only be the person they rely on to handle transactions, offer local insights and anticipate every detail of a friction-free experience, you'll also create the warm atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home in any location.
The Front Office Receptionist is a key member of the guest services team responsible for the overnight operations of the hotel, verifying the accuracy of guest accounts, balancing charges and revenues, as well as assisting with all aspects of guest services. You'll also be responsible for the security of the hotel and it's guests, as well and completing a number of administrative and preparation duties.
You will also undertake cleaning duties such as mopping, dusting, and hoovering, and ensure a full handover to the Duty Manager or receptionist. We believe our people are the key to excellent service delivery and our success depends on them.

- Extends an efficient and welcoming experience both upon arrival and departure.
- Attends to any guest comments brought to their attention and deals with these efficiently and courteously. Readily available to attend any quest questions and enquires providing adequate response to them.
- Has the ability to offer insightful and bespoke recommendations based on individual guest preferences and be able to maintain a high level of product and service knowledge in order to best serve and facilitate guest requests.
- To seek ways to maintain, improve and effectively work within the Front of House teams.
Quality
- Ensures that data accuracy standards are followed
- Adheres to the correct procedures on acceptance of payment cards and cash.
- Is able to complete all tasks on his / her designated task list in a timely and efficient manner while ensuring all necessary follow-up and communication is complete prior to ending a shift.
- To contribute to regular departmental communications meetings ensuring objectives are reviewed and results monitored and minutes recorded as required by the Front Office Manager.
- To be aware and comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety Act as applicable to your place of work. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards at your work place.
- To be fully conversant with the Hotel Emergency and Evacuation procedures.
Profit
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of room categories, hotel facilities, rates, packages and any ongoing promotions.
- Maximizes occupancy and uses up-selling techniques to promote the hotel.

- Strong communication skills through a variety of means
- Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills to ensure a seamless and memorable experience, proactively resolving any challenges that may arise
- An empathetic and a professional approach at all times
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure, adapting your approach to complete routine and non-routine tasks
- High attention to detail and accuracy – great at managing one's own time
- Previous experience ideally within a hotel environment with an outgoing personality, excellent communication skills and excellent command of the English language. The ability to speak other languages would be desirable.
- OnQ PMS knowledge would pose a great advantage but not a mandatory requirement

Lost Property St. Paul's Hotel is located on Ludgate Hill, 100 metres from St. Paul’s Cathedral and it is the newest addition to the Curio Collection within the Hilton portfolio in London.
The hotel consists of six floors and includes the buildings original façade. Lost Property St. Pauls features a charming restaurant and bar called Found but also a a neighbourly Coffee House - Tattle - offering British produced sourced locally.
The Interior design includes classic features and rich tones to complement the façade and immediate vicinity. Each room is influenced by eclectic artwork and contemporary design touches inspired by the London’s rich history in partnership with Key Interior and Designs and ICA Studio.
BREEAM approved with an “Excellent” rating the hotel will feature an upscale brand experience, courtesy of Curio by Hilton.
