We are seeking a friendly and reliable individual with exceptional communication skills to join our team as a Receptionist at our multi-award winning beauty/skin clinic. As the first point of contact for our valued clients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Your primary focus will be to provide exceptional customer service, manage appointments, and assist with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our salon.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet clients in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction upon arrival.
- Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and provide information about salon services, pricing, and appointment availability.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, taking into consideration the availability of therapists, and treatment rooms.
- Maintain an organized and tidy reception area, ensuring it reflects the high standards and aesthetic of our salon.
- Handle cash and manage point-of-sale transactions, including accurately processing payments and providing appropriate change.
- Maintain accurate records of client appointments, payments, and other relevant information using our salon management software.
- Collaborate closely with salon staff to coordinate client appointments, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources and minimising downtime.
- Upsell salon services and products based on the client's needs and preferences.
- Respond promptly to client complaints or concerns, resolving issues whenever possible or escalating them to the appropriate manager.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, such as managing inventory, restocking supplies, and maintaining client records.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new services, and retail products to provide accurate information and recommendations to clients.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a salon, spa, or hospitality industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple responsibilities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer software and point-of-sale systems.
- Knowledge of salon services, beauty products, and industry trends is a plus.
- A professional and well-groomed appearance, reflecting the standards upheld by our salon.
- Ability to work 3 days a week, including Saturdays, based on the needs of the business.
