Job description
- To greet all visitors/patients who enter the department and approach the Reception Desk. Providing an efficient service, including the reception of, staff, patients and visitors to the department.
- To ensure as far as possible, that the Receptionist is always available in the reception area.
- To be responsible for the general quality and appearance of the reception area.
- To receive all incoming post and process in a timely manner, and ensure all outgoing post is similarly processed.
- Communication with stakeholders including trainees, clinicians, managers, patients, other colleagues, and workers from other agencies.
- Recording, archiving, and recalling files as necessary.
- To be involved in trainee satisfaction surveys, risk assessments and staff questionnaires, as required by the departmental management team.
- To be available, once fully trained, to assist within the bookings team and book patients where required.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.***
