We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced administrative receptionist to join our team as an Optical Receptionist in a busy city practice.
The Eye Place is part of a growing independent Opticians, lead by Alex Kemp, a third generation optometrist. The Eye Place at Gregory & Seeley, Fleet Street has been at the heart of The City since 1912. The practice has been run by many generations of the same family until Mr Hall, grandson of Mrs Seeley, retired in 2012. Now in it's 3rd location on Fleet Street, the practice was established during the age of press barons and Fleet St journalists but has evolved, with this area, to serve the law and finance industries. We are now known for our exquisite wooden/buffalo horn eyewear and world class eye examinations.
What we are looking for
Based in our practice at Fleet Street, previous experience as a receptionist/administrator within a healthcare setting either in the NHS or a private practice is preferred.

Main responsibilities and duties
As an Optical Receptionist at The Eye Place, you will be responsible for:
· Meeting and greeting patients to the practice
· Working alongside the team ensuring a smooth patient journey
· Dealing with inbound and outbound calls
· Overseeing messaging platforms
· Registering and introducing new patients to The Eye Place and our services
· General admin duties
· Assisting patients with their bookings and supporting them through their journey at The Eye Place
· Being a positive brand ambassador of The Eye Place

What we ask of you
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
· A warm and welcoming manner
· Passionate about health, optics and customer care
· A well organised person who can multi-task in a busy environment
· Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable
· Level 2 literacy (English) and level 1 numeracy (Maths)
· Excellent IT skills
· Excellent interpersonal skills to provide the optimum service to patients – strong, clear communications and examples of using good judgement (necessary for the safety of the patient)

Salary: Up to £26,000.00 per year
