POSITION SUMMARY:
Perform administrative and office duties under the direct supervision. Receptionist duties include greeting patients, activating patient files, scheduling appointments, taking payments, ordering meds, answering calls, and following up with patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Welcomes patients and visitors to the medical office by greeting patients and visitors in person and on the telephone and answering inquiries or referring questions to other staff members.
- Schedules appointments to optimize patient satisfaction, provider time and most effective use of examination and treatment rooms.
- Retrieves patient files, checks for correct sequence of papers, inserts new patient record forms, and places files in sequence for provider examination or treatment.
- Endeavors to keep patients on schedule by reminding provider of service delays.
- Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.
- Assists patients with billing questions.
- Assist in other tasks as needed.

- Analyzing needs and product requirements to create a design.
Physical Demands
The employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach and lift with arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is required to frequently lift up to 30 pounds without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The employee typically works indoors in a standard office environment but may also be required to be in the shop setting around spray machines with potential exposure to airborne particles.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Years of Experience One (1) year of previous Administrative Assistant or Receptionist experience is required.
Education High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required
License, Certificate, or Registration Driver’s License is required.
