RLE International is working on behalf of their Client based in Wales, who are currently looking for a Receptionist to support and join their expanding team.
They are a privately-owned, high-profile Welsh 4 Star Country House Hotel & Spa, 52 rooms, one AA Rosette Restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Our fabulous Conference & Banqueting suites host a large variety of special occasions such as weddings, corporate events, celebrations etc.The hotel is uniquely located alongside the Snowdonia National Park, overlooking iconic Lake Vyrnwy and forms part of the 24,000-acre RSPB reserve attracting visitors from all over the world who come to simply relax or to sample a wide variety of outdoor activities.
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Receptionist helping us to deliver friendly, efficient customer service. This role is for someone with great organisational skills, a multitasker with a great eye for detail, outgoing personality and enjoys meeting guests and providing professional customer services.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administer all reservations, including invoicing, daily banking, cancellations, and no-shows, in line with company policy in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Checking guests in and out.
- Ensure the accuracy of all booking information entered in the PMS.
- Managing the Hotel’s busy email inbox, telephone and in-person queries relating to hotel services and enquiries.
- Passing on local knowledge and information to guests.
- Keep up to date on current promotions and hotel pricing.
- Upselling, when appropriate, by informing customers of additional services or special packages.
- Report any maintenance issues to Duty Manager, and housekeeping onto Head of Housekeeping.

- Fulfil all reasonable requests from guests to ensure their comfort, satisfaction and safety.
- To ensure a perfect knowledge of room types and rates structure.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and licensing laws.
- To be punctual and maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform policy.
- Support evacuation and in cases of emergency, act as first point of contact for guests and emergency services.
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in reception advantageous, training will be provided.
- Good organisational skills and ability to respond quickly to customer needs.
- Presentable and well-spoken.
- Strong communication skills written and verbal.
- Excellent computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to work on own and part of a team, using initiative.
Hours of Work
Our reception team, work a variety of shifts so you will need to be flexible: early shifts (7.30am - 3.30pm), afternoon shifts 3.00pm - 11pm) and mid shifts (typically 9am-5pm / 10am - 6pm / 11am - 7pm) five days out of every seven including weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
