Receptionist
Part time role paying £9,679.04 per annum
Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham City centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne is set in beautiful grounds, conveniently located for access to the West Midlands motorway network and with good local public transport links.
Our unique range of services gives our colleagues the opportunity to develop skills and experience of working with a broad range of mental health conditions across five mental health service lines, across the hospital’s seven wards.
We provide a diverse range of inpatient services, including acute and psychiatric intensive care for adults (including our unique 18-25 year old service), child and adolescent mental health, specialist eating disorder (including day care) and private acute and addictions treatment programmes. Our multi-disciplinary teams take great pride in delivering personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.

The position is for 18.75 hours per week with the possibility to hours increasing.
The role;
- Greets and assists all arrivals promptly at the Priory unit, and ensures that they are treated in a courteous, pleasant and efficient manner, and directed accordingly.
- Ensures that all telephone calls into main reception / switchboard are dealt with promptly and efficiently within Priory operational standards.
- Carries out administrative tasks as required.
- Ensures the appropriate security passes are issued, as well as then directing the visitor to the appropriate areas or individuals within the unit.
- Ensures the maintenance of the reception and waiting area environments to high standards, ensuring that any housekeeping or maintenance issues are reported to the appropriate teams.
- If relevant, ensures that patients, pupils & staff are able to purchase sundry items from the reception area – e.g. toiletries, etc.
- Adopts new services that are already introduced within the group.
- To use equipment efficiently, in order to gain a greater value for money
