Salary


  • £22,672 p.a.
  • Salaried position, up to 40 hours per week with paid lunch breaks and overtime.
  • Shift working with regular days off and no split shifts.

Reporting to the Operations Manager and working as part of a small team you will be responsible for ensuring our Members receive a warm and friendly welcome and any queries are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner. You will be scheduled to provide cover for Reception in the main Clubhouse and at the Fitness Centre. The role will include shift work including early mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays.

Your responsibilities as a Receptionist

  • Ensuring all Members & guests receive a warm & friendly welcome to the Club.
  • Deal with any queries in an efficient & professional manner.
  • Be self-motivated and have the ability to work well as part of a small team.
  • Be confident, organised, reliable, flexible and enthusiastic.
  • To be aware of the need to observe Health and Safety regulations and advise management of any irregularities.
  • To complete any other reasonable task as requested.

Requirements of a Receptionist


  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Be a clear communicator and be able to demonstrate great teamwork.
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but full training will be given on the job.
  • A good logical approach to problem solving and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • A good command of the English language, be computer literate, and well organised.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to multi-task, as well the ability to work using your own initiative.
  • The role is very hands on, so a can do, and proactive approach is essential and forms part of our One Team ethos.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
