We have a fantastic opportunity for a receptionist to join our team. We are looking for self-motivated candidates who are able to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our talented team who are dedicated to provide excellent customer care and patient safety.

To provide an effective support to the ward to facilitate the smooth running of the ward under the supervision of Nurse in charge and the ward manager.

This role covers clerical duties , meeting and greeting patients, visitors and staff, the preparation, maintenance and the movement of patients notes around the Trust , keep the system up to date with admission, transfer and discharge.

  • Answering phones and forwarding calls to the appropriate party, or taking down messages for forwarding later
  • Collecting patient information and providing it to relevant medical leads
  • Keeping the system up to date with Admission, Transfer and Discharge
  • Ensuring that each patient has the proper documentation and has filed ready for transfer.
  • Handling correspondence and file transfers
  • Meeting and greeting visitors and keeping the visitors log up to date
  • Checking the ward account e mails and convey messages to the relevant team
  • Stock checking and ordering all the necessary documentations needed for the ward.
  • Updating the side room tool
  • Booking porters for patients to attend investigations
  • Work closely with the shift co ordinator and offer clerical support through out the shift
