About the Trust
Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby, and West Lancashire.
Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults’ and children’s accident and emergency services, intensive care, and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women’s and children’s services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital. The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales, and the Isle of Man.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Meeting and greeting service users as they arrive in the department
· Issue service users with a registration form for completion and input their details accurately onto the Sexual Health Management System.
· To create, update and amend electronic patient records, with particular emphasis on ensuring all demographics are accurate.
· Use the Sexual Health Patient Administration System to book and track service users through the service
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Previous admin experience
· Previous NHS experience
