About the Trust

Wythenshawe Hospital is a major acute teaching hospital. We are recognised as a centre of clinical excellence and providing district general hospital services and specialist tertiary services to our local community.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Dealing with telephone queries.

· Greet patients and visitors to inpatient areas, directing them as appropriate and informing the relevant clinical staff of their arrival.

· Answering emails and responding in a timely manner.

· General administrative duties.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills.

· Excellent organisational skills.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Packages e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

· Previous NHS experience. (Desirable)

· System knowledge of PARIS. (Desirable)
