Receptionist United Kingdom
Job description
Job description
We are looking for two more lovely Receptionists to join our small and friendly team. Experience in a customer facing role is preferred, but not essential. A good telephone manner, IT skills and customer service experience will be an advantage.
Working hours are generally an 8 hour shift between the opening hours of 8am and 8pm. The number of working days is negotiable, but can include a half day(s) and some Saturdays on a rota basis. The non-working days will need to be flexible as these can change week by week. Rota's are written up to one month in advance.
The Work
- Answering the telephone, booking appointments and processing vaccination and health check records
- Serving clients at the reception desk, taking payments and assisting them with medication enquiries
- Accurately recording client and animal information on our IT system.
- Accurately advising on the use of, and dispensing, routine worming, tick and flea treatments.
- Ensuring that the client areas are presentable at all times in order to maintain our high standard of cleanliness.
The Person
To be successful and happy in our front of house team, you’ll need to enjoy working closely with other like minded people, who love to go out of their way to deliver exceptional customer care to all our clients and their beloved pets. You will need to share our values of being trustworthy, kind and progressive. You’ll also take the initiative within customer service and have caring and thoughtful communication skills. You’ll need good written and spoken English, a passion for people and, of course, a love for all animals.
The ideal candidate will have a positive approach to problem solving and be a supportive team player. Our veterinary hospitals are fast paced, busy environments, so at times you will need to multi-task, sometimes under pressure. There will be distressing circumstances, naturally, but these are far outweighed by the many happy ones and working in the veterinary world is very rewarding and provides the opportunity for wonderful job satisfaction.
