Location – MMM Creative Studios, Acton

We are looking for a Receptionist to be based at our Merlin’s Magic Making (MMM) Creative Studios in Acton, London.

About the role...

Reception is a key area of our Studios, ensuring all visitors are welcomed, signed in and the building is secure. As well as providing excellent reception services on a day to day basis, you will support the Facilities team and all other figure production departments at MMM London. You will provide a prompt communication of reactive maintenance requests or critical H&S issues.

You will enjoy working in a fast paced and creative environment, you could be asked anything and are a key part of the MMM team! This is a full-time role with hours 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and working on a job share basis will also be considered. Salary for this role is circa £23,000 per annum + Merlin benefits depending on skills and experience. Key objectives are...


  • To carry out all reception duties to an excellent standard.
  • To assist management team during emergency situations.
  • To support the Facilities Manager with onsite contractors.
  • To work in conjunction with the Facilities Coordinator to make sure essential maintenance is completed on time.
  • To take ownership of the Facilities email task list making sure any requests are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • To have good open communication with the facilities team.


About You...


  • Excellent telephone manner with proven receptionist experience in a creative office environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Some knowledge of NetSuite and Concur would be preferable although not essential.
  • Approachable with the ability to build good business relationships across the departments.
  • Confident communicator with a fun and approachable personality.
  • A keen eye for detail coupled with excellent organisational skills are a prerequisite.
  • Resolving issues using own initiative, you must be able to think on your feet and outside of your role, reacting quickly and positively to produce the best possible results under pressure.
  • You must be able to demonstrate a flexible and calm approach to work.
