Job description
The post-holder will work as part of the Education Campus team based on the Oxford Road Campus (near Manchester Royal Infirmary). The post holder’s main role will act as the Receptionist and will be the first point of contact for all users, patients and visitors to the Education Campus. The post holder will also assist in providing administrative support to the Events & Facilities team and assist with the processing of all room requests via the electronic booking system. The post holder will receive deliveries, ensuring they are delivered to the correct department within the Education Campus. The post holder will also help with the daily monitoring of room usage and signing in process.
- Assisting Education Campus Administrative Team in general office duties,
- Whilst acting as Receptionist, post holder will be expected to communicate in a professional manner when dealing with all members of staff, users, visitors and patients.
- to be responsible for the recording of Did Not Attends (DNAs)
- The post will assist the Events & Facilities Coordinator in undertaking daily fire and health & safety checks, reporting any incidents to the Assistant Events and Facilities Manager as required and discussing incidents at team meetings
- To assist with all room bookings for users of the seminar/lecture facilities, liaising with all users and staff as appropriate.
- The post holder will be responsible for logging, processing and monitoring all requests for borrowing furniture, display boards and equipment.
- The post holder will be expected to assist the team in the setting up of rooms for events.
- Assist the Education Campus Events & Facilities Team in the preparation of all forthcoming events, for example, the collation of all information for packs, badges, registers etc
- To liaise with the Audio-visual (AV) Technician regarding the booking of AV equipment.
- The post holder will ensure, each day, that all rooms are clean, tidy and appropriate for use.
- The post holder will report and monitor completion of all maintenance issues.
- Prioritise own workload, requesting advice and support when appropriate.
