Job summary
Longrove Surgery is looking for 1 permanent, full time senior medical receptionist. The applicant must have experience in working with the public, strong leaderships skills leading a team within the NHS, good customer care and computer skills. Main duties are to provide a point of contact for patients and to act as a focal point of communication between patients and all members of the Primary Care Team, booking appointments, dealing with queries and general admin tasks. To be first point of call for staff in absence of Reception Manager and help support the Reception team.
Main duties of the job
Assist with staff rotas to do in Reception Managers Absence .
Onboarding of new staff including logins/smart cards & NHS Mail
Help train new members off staff
Deal with tasks that the reception Manager may delegate to you.
Flexible working to cover shifts if/when needed (annual leave/sick cover)
Cover Reception Manager when needed.
To step in when Reception Manager is unavailable
First point of call for Verbal complaints .
Help Reception Manager to monitor workflow
Welcome locums to the practice, log them in and ensure they have a smooth onboarding experience.
Ensure the smooth running of reception team
Support Reception staff.
Daily Huddles with the Reception team updating them with news/changes
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £12.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Barnet: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Education:
- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Customer service: 3 years (preferred)
- Administrative experience: 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- English (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (preferred)
