Job description
We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic team player to join our professional and busy reception service at the Becklin Centre, working various shifts; both early shifts (7.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m.) late shifts (2.00 p.m. until 10.00 p.m.) and day shifts (8.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m.) over a seven day period including bank holidays.

You will provide a friendly and professional meet and greet service to all visitors, staff, service users and health care professionals at the Becklin Centre. Your role will involve monitoring and logging keys, access fobs, alarms in and out to staff on a daily basis. You will control the car park barrier allowing authorised people to park. Part of the role means you will keep the PPE tables stocked so that people entering the building have face masks and sanitisation available and ensure visitors sign in and out of the Becklin Centre. You will ensure that blood samples given for sending off are sent twice daily as per the local procedure. Your role will also include taxi booking, reporting stationery requirements to line manager, ensuring all paperwork / forms needed for reception are fully stocked. You will be responsible for liaising with senior managers if the fire alarm is sounded and contact the fire brigade if needed.

You will help to provide a comprehensive, high quality, meet and greet service, alongside an efficient telephone and administrative service for the the Becklin Centre. You will be responsible for liaising and directing staff, service users, visitors and health care professionals to the appropriate departments / services around the Becklin Centre
As part of your role you will be responsible for managing the car park barrier, logging visitors to The Becklin Centre, dealing with post internal and external, organising the delivery of blood samples, handing out PPE and general adhoc duties.
This role is based at The Becklin Centre, but on occasions you may be required to provide support and cover other receptions within the Trust.
