Receptionist – Part Time*
Reading
We have an opportunity for an experience and efficient receptionist who is ready to move into a role will additional facility management responsibilities. You will relish a challenge and be highly organised, quickly establishing yourself as the go person in the building, which is based on an established business park in Reading.
This is a temporary role for up to a year, to cover a period of maternity leave.
Hours and salary
8.30am – 5.30pm Wednesday to Friday
Salary - £17,985 per annum

Key Responsibilities*
You will provide a front of house reception service, with additional responsibilities, which will include:
Reception
- Manage and take ownership of the reception area to ensure the ambiance reflects the clients’ and tenants’ expectations
- Meeting, greeting and registering all visitors to the building, providing exceptional customer service to all
- Efficiently managing deliveries, including couriers and post
- Assisting with the management of access passes
- General administration as required
Building management
- You will quickly establish yourself as ‘the face of the building’ and the go to person for questions / queries
- Work closely with the off site Building Manager – confidently reporting building issues and helping manage to resolution
- Manage contractors visiting the building to undertake regular maintenance, issuing keys as required and updating the progress / maintenance log
- Efficiently manage meeting rooms, including room bookings and catering supplies, if required
- Assist with the management and administration of invoices for tenants
- Professionally conduct viewings of vacant offices, on behalf of agents. These could be pre booked, or walk ins
Marketing
- Create and develop a monthly e: newsletter for tenants
- Create on brand posts for the building’s social media account – Twitter and Facebook, as and when required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in a front of house reception role and are ready for a new challenge
- Facilities management experience (desirable)
- Personable with a confident manner and able to deliver impeccable customer service
- Proactive, self-motivated and thrive in an environment where you are required to multitask
- Excellent problem resolution skills along with outstanding communication and active
listening skills
- Competent Microsoft Office / Social Media user and willing to learn in house systems and processes
