Job description
Medical Receptionist urgently required to work for a busy practice based in the heart of Manchester City Centre. The role will be working on a busy reception taking calls from patients and dealing with customers face to face. The practise is operating a closed-door policy so the patients will have pre booked appointments. The role requires someone with previous experience of working within a doctor’s surgery or medical practice who is proficient with EMIS Web. The person will also need to hold an enhanced DBS, ideally registered on the update service. Full time and part time shifts are available, and the hourly rate offered is up to £10.50ph DOE, with immediate starts considered.
About the Role:
- Working on a busy reception taking calls
- Dealing with patients face to face when arriving for their appointments
- Booking and re-arranging appointments using EMIS
- Processing notes and documentation
- Liaising with GP’s / healthcare professionals
- Carrying out general administrative tasks
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience carrying out medical reception duties is required
- Must be proficient using EMIS Web
- An enhanced DBS is required for this role, ideally registered on the update service
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well in a fast paced and busy environment
- An approachable, friendly and caring / empathetic nature is required
