About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Receptionist to join our Front Office team. You will provide an excellent and consistent level of service to your guests and contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the Reception within the Rooms Division.
Working on a rotation basis within the Front Office team, you will ensure maximum guest satisfaction and adhere to the standards required by the hotel. Some of your responsibilities will include checking guests in and out of the hotel, cash handling and dealing with guest's queries both face to face and over the telephone. You will ensure a quick and efficient response to guest’s requirements and will update guest information in the computerised system in a timely manner. You will also be trained to work within our Regency Club, a VIP lounge and also Switchboard.
You will be expected to work 37.5 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 on a shift rota basis. Shifts can include: 7am - 3pm, 11am - 7pm and 3pm - 11pm.
Qualifications
About you:
You will have excellent IT and communication skills. As an organised, outgoing individual you will not be fazed by the diverse and challenging situations that you will deal with.
Working under pressure, you will be able to act quickly in response to changing guest demands and requirements.
Previous customer service experience is essential. Applicants must have GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent. A Diploma / qualification in Hospitality or Tourism Management would be advantageous. Previous experience with Opera systems is desirable.
