An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Wigan Admin Teams for a Weekend Receptionist based at Atherleigh Park Hospital. The working hours will be 09:00-17:00 Saturday and Sunday.
The post holder will meet and greet the General Public, Clinical and Clerical Staff and will ensure all reception processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
The postholder will provide an efficient and professional Reception service ensuring quality service to all users. The post holder will also be required to undertake general clerical duties within the reception.
To have a flexible approach in providing admin support to the multi-disciplinary teams working with a client group with mental health problems. There will be client and carer telephone contact and also, face-to-face contact at some sites and therefore, good communication skills are essential
To meet the needs of the Trust services, you may be required from time to time to work outside of your normal area of work. The Trust reserves the right to change your normal area of work to any other location within the Trust. There may be a requirement to provide cover for other sites reception areas.
- Provide admin support to the clinical team
- Ensure that sufficient stocks of stationery are available to meet the needs of the team without resorting to stockpiling.
- Monitor your own performance against agreed objectives as identified in the appraisal
- Ensuring general tidiness of the reception
- Supporting colleagues appropriately with tasks to be carried out whilst covering reception duties.
- Recording messages accurately in the daily diary for all team members
- Dealing efficiently, precisely, and courteously with telephone
- Being the first line of telephone contact to all service users, carers/relatives, displaying a warm, friendly, and helpful attitude This will include receiving referrals and arranging appointments, updating this on the Paris system.
- Responsibility for directly receiving service users, checking all patients’ demographic details are complete and updated on the Paris system to support with quality improvement performance across the
