Four Elms Medical Centres are looking for a full or part time medical receptionist to join our busy, friendly practice team. The applicant must be enthusiastic, caring and able to work well under pressure. We are seeking highly motivated, hardworking individuals with excellent communication skills, who are able to work within a team but also under their own initiative. We require 5 days per week, but there is some flexibility and the possibility of a job share if requested.
The main duties of the post will be dealing with patients in a polite and confident manner, answering the telephones, issuing prescriptions, liaising with clinicians and team members, and using our Emis Web clinical system. This role will require a sensitive, empathetic manner.
Job responsibilities
Duties to include:
Welcoming patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone.
Answering and/or referring enquiries appropriately
Maintaining confidentiality of personal information.
Assisting in maintaining the smooth running of the reception office by carrying out general administrative and reception tasks.
Contribute to the team effort by working effectively as a valued team member.
