The Company
Our client is one of the market leading names in their industry. They work with some of the biggest brands and are experience phenomenal growth (turnover grew from £36m to £56m in 2021!).
Due to continued expansion, they have a great opportunity for a receptionist to join their team, on a 6 month fixed term contract.
The Role
Reporting into the HR Manager, the Receptionist will be the 1st point of call for visitors/customers to the business. Working 8am-4.30 Mon-Friday (flexible hours system in place), the role is working from our client's Bury offices.
Main duties include:
Welcoming and being the first point of contact for visitors and calls
- Answering and forwarding phone calls
- Screening phone calls
- Booking meetings and arranging catering and refreshments
- Sorting and distributing post
- Act as customer service to direct any complaints to the appropriate member of staff
- Logging and resolution of customer complaints via telephone and email
- Maintaining and ordering stationery, canteen goods and pantry items (dishwasher tablets, coffee etc)
- Keeping the reception and back-office area tidy
- Arranging couriers and booking shipments, providing tracking details where required
- Resolution of any customs and excise queries that arise
- Assisting with the weekly fire alarm and sprinkler test
- To follow safe working practice guidelines and to keep own area of work clean and tidy
- To be part of the team that monitor cleaning requirements and inform the cleaning company when issues arise.
- Ensuring security of the main door at end of the business day
- Administering the Biometric Entry system
- To carry out any other duties as required
What We Are Looking For
The Receptionist will ideally have experience with experience within a similar role, be a fantastic communicator and a people person.
The successful candidate will have/be:
- Well-organised
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to develop good relationships with colleagues and to effectively communicate at all levels
- Ability to deal with difficult clients or customers
- Accuracy and attention to detail with good written and spoken
- Ability to handle all internal and external correspondence in a professional manner
- Efficient
- Self-motivated
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Word – Basic/Intermediate level
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
