Part-Time (2.5 days per week) Term-Time (with optional 2 half days (8am-1pm) in the school holiday, but this isn't mandatory)
Working hours: Term Time: Wednesday 745am to 130pm. Thursday and Friday 745am to 615pm.
Optional School Holidays: Thursday and Friday 8am to 1pm
Contract: All year or term time +
Salary: £25,000 - £26,500 full time equivalent depending upon experience (actual pay between £13,000 and £15,500 per annum).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and helpful environment for pupils, parents and visitors ensuring sign-in/out procedures are followed and that all safeguarding measures are met.
- Ensure School registers are completed and any absences are accounted for in a timely manner.
- Receive incoming phone calls/queries from parents and other parties.
- Manage the School Office’s outlook inbox ensuring all queries are answered or forwarded to the relevant colleague.
- Format, prepare and/or copy documents, using Microsoft Office applications, to support colleagues and school events.
- Provide admin support to school day and residential trips such as booking transportation.
- Provide general administrative support to the wider school community as required.
- Receive incoming goods/post and forward these to colleagues.
- Prepare outgoing post for collection.
- Assist with data management tasks including updating pupil and parent information on iSAMS and managing paper files.
- Process leave of absence forms.
- Coordinate and support visitors in the event of an emergency evacuation.
- Co-ordinate support staff holiday work schedules.
- Comply with policies and procedures relating to Child Protection, Health and Safety, Data Protection and Confidentiality
- Undertake any appropriate training required.
- Carry out any reasonable requests as required by your Line Manager, the Bursar and the Head
Person Specification
- Confidence and experience in a customer supporting role requiring flexibility, agile thinking and problem solving.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work with deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Management Information Systems (training for iSAMS will be provided where required)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The successful candidate will be someone who is passionate about providing excellent customer service, and ensuring all visitors leave our School with a positive experience.
