Job description
Due to imminent retirement of current staff we are now looking to recruit new members to our team.
We are a small team working together in a traditional house practice, as a result we have a very low turnover of staff resulting in an enjoyable work place atmosphere.
The role itself will include:
· Making appointments
· Using practice management software
· Basic repairs
· Basic fittings and adjustments of spectacles
· Using some optical equipment for pre screening assessments
· Assisting patients with frame selection
· Keeping the practice clean and tidy
· Ability to follow ever changing NHS guidelines
· Work alongside an experienced team
· Assisting with reception, dispensing and other optical duties
Required skills
· Good communication and organisation skills
· Ability to use IT systems
· Ability to learn new tasks
· Good dexterity is helpful as some tasks require handling of small pieces
· Punctuality
· Good hygiene is essential
· Ability to work alone and as part of a team
· Trustworthy and honest
· Smart appearance
Although not necessary as all training will be provided, some experience would be beneficial.
Hours to be agreed
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 18.5 per week
Salary: From £10.42 per hour
