Our Front of House department is looking for a Receptionist to join their team. This role is a key one for the team as you understand how important it is for the guests to have that first impression when entering our property, and you will be the champion of creating those long-lasting memories.

We have 180 sleeping spaces, working destinations, 2 restaurants, a selection of bars, wellness centre, pottery, craft destinations and lido, along with our 200 acres of rewilded land, where cows, sheep and deer roam free, and our horticulture team grow fruit, vegetables and herbs that will be foraged to use across the site. Responsibilities
- Warm and welcoming demeanour, you greet guests and are helpful wherever you are in the hotel
- Innovative and looks for new ways to delight our guests.
- You are passionate that our guests leave Birch Selsdon reenergised, looked after and already planning to return.
- You understand how to care for our guests, a natural problem solver and always keen to give the guest something that they weren’t expecting.
- Provide excellent customer service to the guests
- Be curious about our guests, build relationships, and leave them wanting to come back
- Own guests’ feedback, whether that’s good or bad, share it with the team. If things go bad, do something about it. If they go well, celebrate
- Treat everyone with genuine care
- Encourage and facilitate opportunities to play an active role in helping our local community to fulfil their potential
