Part-Time Receptionist (Friday & Sunday)
We currently have an opportunity for someone to join our team, welcoming all visitors to the Discovery Centre, handling queries and dealing with each visitor in a warm and friendly way.
Our aim is for every visitor to have a brilliant experience, every time they visit. As one of our receptionists, you'll be a huge part of making that happen, whether you're acting as host to our Experience Guests, serving on the till, keeping the Discovery Centre clean, tidy and well stocked with leaflets or looking after our customers' needs in another way. We want someone with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be passionate and knowledgeable about our products and who can greet everyone with a genuine smile and connect with visitors and make them feel valued.
Good communication skills (attentive listening, verbal communication and eye contact) are essential, as is the willingness to work flexible hours (as additional cover may be required on weekends and during holidays).
- Acting as receptionist to all visitors including meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of guests, ensuring a superb customer service experience
- To build good rapport with guests and resolve complaints/issues quickly to maintain highest standards
- Acting as first point of contact to our visitors, processing customers through the cash register, recording complimentary visitors and signing in contractors and others in the correct manner
- Helping manage the booking system for meeting rooms and classrooms in the Discovery Centre, ensuring all relevant information is taken at the time of booking and that each room is set up in advance, as per the booking request
- Setting up classrooms and meeting rooms with tables, chairs and refreshments, as per instructions given for the event/meeting
- Sorting/distributing incoming post & sending outgoing post, recording deliveries and collections
- Helping run the Discovery Centre, maintaining & replenishing stocks of refreshments, stationery and other goods as required, as well as identifying, reporting and following up on maintenance issues
- Working in partnership with other team members, ensuring events & experiences are purchased, processed and booked appropriately
- Having a detailed knowledge of PWP/ZSH’s products and services and using this knowledge to help with customer enquiries and to enhance our visitors’ experience whilst at the Park
- Other duties to support effective and efficient site working, as required
Job Requirements (Essential)
Previous experience of and confidence in dealing with members of the public
Excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills; strong administrative skills
Working Conditions
Fridays & Sundays 08.00-17.00
Occasional overtime, early and late work will be required to cover holidays/absences and accommodate deadlines or special events
We give statutory holiday entitlement
