Job description

We are currently recruiting for a friendly and professional receptionist. Working on our main hospital reception you will be responsible for a high standard of customer service to ensure a positive and highly efficient patient experience. The shift pattern will be four working days of 7.5 hrs each.

About the role

Implement high standards of customer service providing a warm and welcoming environment to patients and visitors, following strict departmental standard operating procedures.
Undertake a wide range of administration duties linking in with other key areas to ensure smooth running of the department in accordance with all policies, procedures and guidelines.
Advise patients with general enquires immediately and effectively and understanding where more complex quires should be directed to.
Demonstrates a good understanding of the delivery of key performance indicators relevant to access and treatment.

Skills and experience required

Excellent customer-centred approach
Previous relevant experience
Customer care qualification or willingness to work towards
Relevant experience within a healthcare/customer centred environment
Excellent IT skills i.e. APAS, Microsoft Office and other applications relevant to the role
Proven ability to undertake multiple tasks under pressure
Methodical and well organised with a high level of attention to detail
Demonstrates team working ethos
Effective verbal and written communication using tact, discretion and diplomacy
