Job description
We are currently recruiting for a friendly and professional receptionist. Working on our main hospital reception you will be responsible for a high standard of customer service to ensure a positive and highly efficient patient experience. The shift pattern will be four working days of 7.5 hrs each.

About the role
- Implement high standards of customer service providing a warm and welcoming environment to patients and visitors, following strict departmental standard operating procedures.
- Undertake a wide range of administration duties linking in with other key areas to ensure smooth running of the department in accordance with all policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Advise patients with general enquires immediately and effectively and understanding where more complex quires should be directed to.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of the delivery of key performance indicators relevant to access and treatment.
Skills and experience required
- Excellent customer-centred approach
- Previous relevant experience
- Customer care qualification or willingness to work towards
- Relevant experience within a healthcare/customer centred environment
- Excellent IT skills i.e. APAS, Microsoft Office and other applications relevant to the role
- Proven ability to undertake multiple tasks under pressure
- Methodical and well organised with a high level of attention to detail
- Demonstrates team working ethos
- Effective verbal and written communication using tact, discretion and diplomacy
