We are looking for a caring, motivated and passionate person, ideally with experience in treatment coordination and/or dentistry, or someone who wishes to grow into this role with the right training and support.
The practice vision is to always provide clinical excellence and a comfortable patient journey. Our team is very important to us and we are looking for the right candidate for this exciting position.
The role will include reception/front-of-house work with some protected time to work on treatment coordination/practice progression. Some knowledge of dental implants, Invisalign and facial aesthetics would be advantageous however, more importantly, a willingness to learn and show initiative will allow for full training and support to learn about these treatments.
Part of the role will include:
- Having discussions with patients regarding treatments and treatment options
- Carrying out initial new patient chats with prospective patients
- Learning strengths/skills of different clinicians in order the allocate patients with the correct dentist/hygienist
- Discussing costs with patients
- Discussing treatment plans with patients and ensuring the paperwork required including consent forms is correct and accurate
- Following up on referrals
- Following up patients during their treatments and providing support to them
- Working with the wider team including nurses/practice manager to implement processes that help with the patient journey
- Working on and implementing marketing and social media campaigns
- Managing social media
- Reception duties
- Working on tracker or CRM systems to manage leads/enquiries and getting patients booked in as appropriate
The ideal candidate will have:
- A proven track-record in excellent customer service (and sales is desirable)
- A confident, friendly and approachable personality
- Excellent communication skills, especially listening and written
- Ability to work well with the clinical team and understand their treatments and processes
- Superb organisational skills
- Comfortable in discussing treatment plan fees with patients
- An interest in social media and marketing/a willingness to learn
- Confident with Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- They must be reliable
- They must understand key principles in teamwork and confidentiality
Desired but not essential:
- Experience with photography
- Experience with Exact dental software
- Some experience in working in NHS or private care, especially in dentistry
You will be supported by an experienced practice manager and an accessible principal dentist, as well as a wider team who all have a dental background. Initially your role will be to learn the current systems and processes, with a view to be placed on a treatment coordination course to take this role forward. If you already have experience as a dental nurse/receptionist/TCO we will be able to assess your level of experience and tailor the training accordingly.
This is a nice role for anyone who is a ‘people person’ and wishes to have a patient-facing role in a non-clinical environment. It allows you room to grow and develop, with incentives to increase income though bonus schemes.

Salary: £11.00-£12.00 per hour
