Are you an experienced dental professional looking for a rewarding career in a dynamic and patient-focused environment? We are currently seeking a skilled experienced Dental Receptionist to join a lovely specialist dental practice located in the North London area.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice.
Position: Dental Receptionist
Rate: £25,000 per annum (negotiable dependent on experience)
Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 8/9am- 5/6pm- 40 hr week
Start date: As soon as possible
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor, creating a welcoming atmosphere in the dental office.
- Schedule and manage appointments using dental software system, ensuring optimal time management for both patients and dental staff.
- Coordinate patient flow, maintaining an organized and efficient reception area.
- Collect and verify patient information, including medical history and insurance details, accurately and confidentially.
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide necessary information to patients and other callers.
- Handle patient billing and insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with dental office policies and procedures.
- Assist with dental office administration tasks, such as managing patient records, filing, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and efficient patient care.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Dental Receptionist is essential.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using dental software systems for appointment scheduling, billing, and patient records management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, staff, and external contacts.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in handling patient information and administrative tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional and empathetic approach when dealing with patients, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity to their needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required. Additional dental office administration or receptionist training is a plus.
