Receptionist / Administrator | Part Time - various hours
We have openings with the hours per week below:
1 - 18 hrs
1 - 22 hrs
1 - 26 hrs
Job Purpose:
- To provide an efficient administrative service within the Reception department, working within established policies and processes.
- To ensure an exemplary level of customer service is upheld in the provision of service to patients, consultants and the hospital team.
Main Accountabilities
- To greet and provide a customer focused, professional and effective service that exceeds expectations to all Patients, Consultants, and Visitors to the hospital.
- To maintain a secure reception area, issuing visitors badges as appropriate and informing them of important hospital procedures
- To advise departments of patients' arrival, changes and cancellations to clinics
- Receive, maintain, and update patient records in line with the hospital procedures
- To ensure reception area is manned at all times whilst on duty.
- Manage the hospital switchboard in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring all calls or enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
- To take payments from patients and consultants, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate
- To assist with any other reasonable duties required by your line manager.
Who we're looking for
Qualifications and Training
- Previous relevant experience in an administrative support role.
- Customer facing role
- Computer literate
- Adept at handling various calls on a daily basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Have a systematic and organised approach to work
- Working collaboratively
- Maintain complete confidentiality, discretion and loyalty at all times
