Job Description: Wayman Education is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Reception teacher for an ambitious school in Caterham, Surrey, starting in September. The successful Reception teacher will join a dedicated team of staff, where they will be given the opportunity to grow and develop professionally. Reception teacher responsibilities Plan, develop and deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to meet the needs of individual children to ensure progression and continuity of learning. Create a welcoming, stimulating, and safe learning environment that supports children's learning, personal development, and well-being. Develop effective partnerships with parents and carers, maintaining regular communication to support and extend children's learning at home. Use ongoing observational and assessment strategies to monitor children's progress and ensure that children's individual needs are planned for and met. Keep accurate and up-to-date records of children's achievements and progress. Plan opportunities within the curriculum for children to develop positive relationships, mutual respect, and a sense of belonging. Work as a cooperative member of the school team, contributing to school development and taking part in training and other learning activities. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience of teaching in a Reception/Early Years setting. A thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum. The ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A positive and enthusiastic approach to working with children. A commitment to continued professional development. The School This is a wonderful school in Surrey.
