What are we looking for?
Our business is rapidly expanding, we are looking for a Reception Supervisor to join our friendly and driven team.
You will be a hospitality superstar who prioritizes our guests at every turn. You will supervise our reception team ensuring everything runs smoothly and create memorable experiences for our guests.
Previous experience necessary and knowledge of Guestline or similar system such as Opera would be advantageous.
You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Who are we?
Ten Hill Place is a stylish 129 bedroom hotel, part of Surgeons Quarter in Edinburgh.
Surgeons Quarter is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and has developed its property and facilities to create an integrated hotel, conferencing and events facility within the College campus. The facilities lend themselves to a variety of activities and events including conferences, professional meetings, weddings, exhibitions and social events. Surgeons Quarter manage a large food and beverage operation, which includes management of venue bars, private banqueting and a high street café.
Surgeons Quarter, in conjunction with SpaceUK, operate one of the largest Edinburgh Festival Fringe venues and additionally SQ is an extensive provider of Scottish Evenings.
What will I be doing?
Maintain Health and Safety practices in conjunction with the policies laid down by Surgeons Quarter
Ensure all facilities and services of the Front Desk meet the standards of excellence as required by the General Manager
Assume control, accountability and ownership for the supervision of the Reception team
Promote a positive working environment ensuring all team members are multi skilled to ensure the guest always receives the friendliest, most efficient service at all times
Positively approach any sales opportunities to maximise revenue and exceed budgeted sales targets
Working closely with the team to make sure that all colleagues are aware of each days business such as VIP's, special requirements, events within the college etc
Quickly build strong rapport as the role requires the frequent liaison with a range of other departments such as housekeeping, maintenance and guest relations
Ability to motivate the team and delegate effectively
Train and develop the team to the required standards
Maintain grooming standards as per Company policy
Ensure loyalty reward signup targets are achieved
Understand all Standard Operating Procedures for Front Office Systems
Assist with reservations by telephone, email and online
Provide a friendly work environment to both your colleagues and guests
To assist, by group discussion, in evaluating decision making processes in all matters appertaining to the successful management of Front and Back office function
Motivate your own self-development and performance and provide feedback from any suitable training received in order to enhance your own performances
Provide front line support to guests, taking care to ensure all of their needs are catered for
Assist with Duty Management shifts as instructed by the weekly rota
