Hampton by Hilton Corby are seeking a Reception Manager to drive our successful hotel forward into 2023 and beyond.

Job Description

  • Ensure the reception team have full knowledge of the guest bedroom amenities and other services provided to the guest throughout the hotel.
  • Encourage & upskill the reception team to promote special offers and actively spot opportunities to upsell products and services.
  • Embed a culture across reception where guests needs are anticipated and proactively carried out.
  • Welcome guests on arrival and follow brand standard for check in including Hilton Honors enrollment.
  • Check the conference clipboard to stay up to date with upcoming events.
  • Ensue downtime reports are printed every 2 hours in case of system failure or an emergency.
  • Update & ensure the reception team maintain accurate guest profile information with all relevant details captured.
  • Build a loyal customer base through the implementation of Hilton Honors benefits program.
  • Complete courtesy call after each check in.
  • Answer the telephone within 3 rings.
  • Ensure accurate communication across all departments.
  • Answer all emails / telephone inquiries which are received during your shift and reception team members are adhering to this standard.
  • Post correct payment methods and ensure the system is balancing, rectify any imbalances.
  • Review House Accounts and ensure these are closed prior to the end of your shift unless they are for upcoming events.
  • Report and complete accident forms as and when required.
  • Pass on sales inquiries in a prompt manner.
  • Ensure there is a record for all guests staying who require a PEEP document.
  • Follow the correct check list throughout your shift and check team members are also following this standard.
  • Familarise yourself with hotels daily occupancy, room rates, arrivals, departures, stayovers and general hotel information amenities.
  • Ensure accurate & informative daily shift briefings & handovers are carried out.
  • Carry out audit checks on guest profiles to ensure reception are maintaining up to date records.and issue reports on guests special requests.
  • Carry out reception, nights & duty manager shifts as required by business needs
  • Ensure guest information is securely stored in compliance with GDPR laws & Regulations.
  • Inspect and maintain a clean and spotless front and back of house area at all times.
  • Assist with the induction and training of new reception team members.
  • Monitor the guest experience through the use of SALT and train your team where needed.
  • Take part in head of department meetings.
  • Complete all onboarding training and ongoing departmental training where necessary.
  • Compile SOPs in line with company standards for reception/nights teams.
  • Log any maintenance issues and be aware of health & safety hazards throughout your shift.
  • Ensure a sound knowledge of local area places of interest with the ability to direct guests locally.
  • Develop, coach & nurture your team through to success.
  • Recognize & reward team members who go the extra mile for our guests.
  • Lead by example, ensuring you arrive for your shift on time, in clean and correct uniform with well-groomed appearance.
  • Provide support across other departments if required.
  • Clock in and out for your shift as per hotel standard.
